If you do not require artwork please submit your files with the subject “print ready files” to:
artwork (at) visionartdesign (dot) com (Please substitute the “(at)” and the “(dot)” for “@” and “.” Respectively)
Important: Our low printing prices are based upon receiving files that meet print-ready requirements. Before submitting files, please: print file, double-check spelling, review page design, and ensure file is 100% print-ready. Upon submission, files that do not comply with print-ready requirements will be classified as “Not Ready” files. Customers may incur additional charges for work involved in creating print-ready files.
When Providing Print-Ready Files
Please follow these guidelines:
Bleed: Vision Art requires a 0.125" bleed around the perimeter of your artwork to ensure accurate cutting.
Color: All your full color files and images must be submitted using CMYK color mode. Please note that the color presented on a computer monitor is not necessarily an exact color match to the final print product.
File Format: We accept print-ready files in any of the following formats: .pdf, .eps, .psd, and .tif but we prefer .pdf
Please note that if you have an artwork file in any other format (e.g., word document), we encourage you to create a PDF file, however, we cannot guarantee that files created in MS-Word or MS-Publisher will produce high-quality images and text.
Resolution: For an image to print properly, the image must be at least 300 dots per inch (dpi) at the final output size. If your file is not 300 dpi, you cannot simply increase the dpi from a low resolution to a higher one by increasing the DPI in your imaging program.
For most printing jobs, 300 dots per inch (DPI) is the minimum resolution to guarantee acceptable printing results. For larger products such as large format posters and banners, we recommend sharper resolution which can range from 300 to 1200 dpi, depending on the intended use of the printed piece.
Fonts: It is critical that we receive your print-ready file with fonts included to avoid any printing issues.
All text within your files must be converted to outlines with the outline set to zero to eliminate the need for fonts.
Files not complying with the above guidelines will be considered Not Ready to print.
